Q: What is your staff to camper ratio?
A: It varies as we assess our campers’ needs and adjust accordingly though it is usually around 1:2 to 1:3.
Q: How are the overnight accommodations?
A: We have cabins that sleep between 14-20 people. Our campers sleep on bottom bunks and our staff sleep on the top bunks.
Q: Who are the staff at camp? Are there nurses?
A: The majority of our staff are college students who are studying to become someone who serves people with disabilities such as a special educator, occupational therapist, or nurse. We also have a nurse or two on staff to administer medications and handle any medical emergency situations.
Q: Can you accommodate a special diet?
A: Typical special diets such as vegetarian or fish free can be accommodated. Others such as gluten free we encourage campers to bring some of their own food so we can prepare it for them in case we do not have any gluten free items with a meal or are uncertain about a meal.
Q: What does it mean for a camp to be accredited by the American Camp Association?
A: It means that the camp meets minimum standards including safety protocols on things such as health and wellness, site operation, food, and programs as set forth by the American Camp Association. www.acacamps.org
Q: Does the camp provide transportation?
Transportation to and from camp is to be arranged and provided by the camper’s family or guardian.
Q: Is camp free?
No, though we do have some partial scholarships on an as needed basis. Please see the application for more information.
Q: Do you accept donations?
